We found the Castle Tea Rooms by accident after a long journey and boy am I glad we did. The staff are extremely friendly and the number of locals popping in is always a good indicator that you have found a gem. We had a pot of Yorkshire tea and some jacket potatoes and it was delicious. The Castle Tea Rooms has homely, comforting feel with simple but delicious food, highly recommend for anyone visiting York
